October marked the sixth consecutive month of year-over-year home sales growth in the Greater Houston area. According to the Houston Association of Realtors’ October 2025 Housing Market Update, single-family home sales rose 3.2% year-over-year and 0.27% month-to-month.
Housing supply held steady from September but showed healthy improvement compared to last year, rising to 5.2 months of inventory, up from 4.4 months in October 2024.
Across all property types, total sales increased 1.6% year-over-year and 0.94% month-to-month, reflecting continued market stability. The average days on market edged up slightly to 59 days, suggesting a balanced pace between buyers and sellers.
