Last month, the Houston area experienced positive home sales year-over-year for the first time in 19 months. Sales were down on a monthly basis.
According to the Houston Association of Realtors, single-family home sales across Greater Houston rose 4.9 percent year-over-year, the first increase since March 2022. On a monthly basis, the number of total property sales is lower than it has been since March 2023. Total active listings have declined while the months supply of homes dropped to 3.6. Houston area homes averaged 47 days on the market in November.
