It may be hot outside, but Houston area home sales are cooling off and listings and inventory are growing. On a year-to-year basis, home sales across Greater Houston were down for a 16th straight month in July, but the rate of decline was the smallest in more than a year. Single-family home sales fell 8.5 percent year-over-year. That is the lowest decline since sales dropped 7.6 percent in June 2022. Months supply of homes climbed to 3.2, the highest level since May 2020 when it was 3.3.
