Leslie Lerner was quoted by Nancy Sarnoff in the June 12, 2014 Houston Chronicle Business section. In May, for the first time in three years, Houston home sales declined. Inventory is at an all-time low which has increased demand causing prices to skyrocket and bidding wars to continue. Many buyers are submitting wonderful offers on homes and losing out to higher bidders or cash contract. This is causing a lot of frustration in the marketplace. This is not just happening with home sales, but rentals, too.
