
Houston’s housing market saw a significant boost in May, with single-family home sales marking the strongest year-to-date increase. According to the Houston Association of Realtors, year-over-year sales jumped 6.8%, while month-over-month activity surged 15.3%.
The market is also seeing more homes available, with 37,455 active single-family listings—a 35% increase from last year and the highest inventory level since September 2007. Total property sales rose 4.6% over last May, ending a three-month decline. Inventory growth continues, up 29.4% compared to the same time last year.
