Single-family home sales in the Houston area increased by 1.7 percent compared to September 2023, but they fell by 5 percent since August. September also saw the fifth straight month of year-over-year declines in total property sales, which were down 3.3 percent from the same period last year. Additionally, the number of available properties is up by 25 percent compared to last September. Days on market is higher than it has been since March.
