Houston Area Home Sales Virtually Unchanged in October

Single family home sales coasted through October as inventory decreased to a 2.4-months supply. Inventory has not been this low since December 2014.  The national average is 2.7 months. Last October there was a 3.8-months supply. The total days on market dropped to 46. Last year it was 59 days.

BUYING A HOME BEFORE DECEMBER 31st Can Save you Money!

If you are in the market for a new home, purchasing prior to December 31, 2020 can save you money. Buyers that close before the end of the year are qualified to apply for a homestead exemption at the beginning of 2021.  If you do not close by December 31st, you cannot apply until January 2022.

Santa Claus is an incredible man but unfortunately, he can’t be everywhere at once. However, he does want you to be a part of the jolliest race series of the year! Brew Lights – November 12, 2020 – Houston Zoo

Frostival – November 12, 2020 – Virtual
The annual celebration of the opening of The Ice powered by Green Mountain Energy will be held virtually this year. It will feature an ice carving demonstration by Reverend Butter and a behind-the-scenes look at how the ice is made.

The ICE at Discovery Green – November 13, 2020 – January 31, 2021 – Discovery Green

Festival of Lights – November 21, 2020 – January 2, 2021 – Moody Gardens

Dickens On the Strand – December 5 – 6, 2020 – Galveston
This year finds the beloved annual event in a new configuration while addressing the ongoing impact of COVID-19. Each square will feature entertainment, Dicken’s pubs, and food options with a specially designed holiday market on Pier 21. The market features numerous craft, food, and holiday vendors that guests seek out each year. Additionally, the 2020 event will feature a select number of specially ticketed private events at numerous GHF sites, all following similar safety protocols.
